Visa Inc. is an American multinational financial services corporation headquartered in Foster City, California, United States. It facilitates electronic funds transfers throughout the world, most commonly through Visa-branded credit cards, gift cards, and debit cards.


Visa wanted to engage customers, increase share of voice on social media, and build consumers’ awareness of their new innovative technologies.

IMS Solution

IMS helped position Visa as the global leading e-payment provider and industry facilitator at the much-anticipated Shanghai Fashion Week for spring/summer 2019. Leveraging Visa’s role as the chief sponsor for the global event, IMS used the opportunity to showcase their innovative technical capabilities, and to inject youth and energy into the Visa brand.

IMS designed an interactive booth to showcase Visa’s new innovative e-payment technologies, and created an experiential journey that allowed attendees to experience first-hand what the technologies could bring both to the industry and to consumers. IMS helped Visa coordinate simultaneous crossover campaigns at the New York and Melbourne Fashion Week events to create hype for Visa-branded innovations, and to drive further collaborations with banking institutions and promotion of Chinese original designs to a global audience.


The IMS-designed experiential marketing booth proved to be a great success at the Shanghai Fashion Week Launch Party, a star-studded event held at the beautiful gardens by the Lake of Peace (Taiping Hu) at Xintiandi, the exclusive shopping locale.

We helped Visa leverage the brand awareness generated by the successful, well-publicised event by hosting a media announcement of their continued sponsorship of the Shanghai Fashion Week for another 3 years. The event cemented Visa’s market-leading position in the financial services and electronic funds transfers industry, and built upon the brand’s relationships and goodwill amongst banking institutions and the fashion industry.
